Emidio Pepe - Montepulciano d' Abruzzo 2015
One of the greats!
Emidio Pepes wines have become somewhat iconic on the international market. The winemaking process is completely manual, picking the grapes by hand, pressing the grapes by foot and even labelling to bottle individually by hand. The juice is then fermented with natural yeast before aged in large cement tanks for two years.
The 2015 vintage has no added sulphites.
The ageing potential is great. Vintages from decades back are still drinking beautifully.
